Katlicherra is a City in Katlicherra Tehsil in Hailakandi District of Assam State, India. It is located 30 KM towards South from District head quarters Hailakandi.
Lord Shiva is worshiped here as. A Banyan Tree who roots seems like open hair of Lord Shiv. I have never see such a banyan tree till data.Local worship this Banyan Tree also. People belief if you tie a red cloth and make a wish, your wish will come true.
Also there is a temple of Ban Devi ( local name for Godess Durga ).
